    Hello bloggers! My group and I have begun filming for the music video project! Since I was in charge of props, I made sure to look at the checklist I made before leaving for the production site. The most necessary prop was the tripod, which I triple-checked to make sure I brought. Upon arriving at the first filming location, I looked at the storyboard to see the planned angles. My group did not film the scenes in order as they will appear in the video. This is because my group wanted to film the longer and more extravagant scenes first. However, as an exception, my group filmed the car scene first, as it would have been the quickest. I was in charge of making sure the lighting was appropriate. My group filmed the mall scene next. My group set up the tripod in a store in the mall after scouting out a good filming location. I searched around the area for any items in the store we could use in the film. I found some sweaters right near the camera that I thought would be good props. After adjusting the camera angle, my group successfully recorded the mall scenes. Next, my group and I recorded a clip of the couch while my group "watched" a movie. 

    The next day, my group and I went to the beach to continue filming. While Kemora and Lindsay set up the tripod and camera, Mela and I practiced for one of the beach clips. After filming multiple clips on the beach, my group took a few minutes to enjoy the nice weather at the beach and rewatch the clips. Then, my group went to a store on the boardwalk to film another scene. For this scene, Kemora had an idea to slow down the speed of the video and do a montage of my group trying on sun hats. I picked a different hat for each of my groupmates. After this scene, my group called it a wrap for the day and watched all the recordings to ensure the videos were adequate. I am looking forward to another day of filming next week.

      Hello! Last week, my group and I began filming the music video. Immediately after filming each scene, my groupmates reviewed all the clips to make sure all the elements of the film were included. After wrapping up filming for the day and checking the quality of each clip, my group and I began to edit. Since my group used multiple cameras for filming, my group had to import all the clips into the editing app. My group accomplished this by iMessaging the videos in a group chat with every member of the group, that way everyone could view the clips. Kemora volunteered to do the editing on her iPhone since she has the most experience with editing.     Next, every member of my group helped to edit the music video. Production Blog: Choosing an Editing Platform!

 Hello! My group recently concluded filming the final task video! It was a long and tedious process, but it was worth it. Now, it is time to edit. First, I thought about which editing platform to use. I looked into two main apps. One of the apps was iMovie. The other one was CapCut. I have used both of them before. The experiences I have had with both apps were relatively smooth. Therefore, I had to weigh the pros and cons of each app. First, I looked into iMovie. This app has been around for almost my whole life, so I am very familiar with the app's features. I have used iMovie for many projects before, including some projects for this class. However, my group did use CapCut for the last project, the music video. Even though I have used CapCut a few times, it has been for smaller and less complex projects. Pitch A: Three girls discover a treasure map washed up on the shore so the follow the map and are brought on an adventure. Pitch B: A group of friends go out to dinner and discover a killer secret about their friend. Discuss Pitch A: This movie idea would be exciting to film, but it may be hard to produce. Our original idea was to open the movie at the beach, which would be easy to do since we live close. However, since it is a treasure hunt, we would have to travel to multiple places on the map which may be hard for us to accomplish. Also, it may be difficult to create the treasure map and to make the scene of us finding the map look realistic. Furthermore, this is a very general and overused plot line, so it may seem repetitive.
