Hello! I have recently completed my All About Me Commercial. Throughout the process, I had to learn how to use new types of technology. I used my phone to edit my film, which I already knew how to use, but I did have to learn new apps and software. I have used iMovie before, but I have never truly taken the time to learn the app's features until this project. I learned how to edit the clips further in detail rather than just adjusting the length, as I have done previously. I also experimented with many features that were new to me, such as transitions and adding music. Adding text with certain fonts and adjusting the volume of my music at certain times was all new for me. I picked up on the techniques quickly with the help of my teachers and peers. Overall, taking the time to test all the features offered allowed me to create my commercial to the best of my ability.      Furthermore, not only did I learn the new technology, but I also learned a lot about the process of putting

Hello! I am almost done with my All About Me commercial. I started off this editing session by inspecting the transitions between the photos and videos. All the transitions are currently the default "dissolve." I would like to alter this to make my film more unique. This will also add variety to my film. I decided to move a clip of the video of me skiing to the beginning of my commercial. This is because the clip seemed out of place in the middle of the video, as I have the large clip of me skiing just before it. The video flows much better now. I chose to keep the dissolve transition in this part of the film. However, when I approached the skiing part of the commercial, I decided to use a different transition to add variety. I chose the "slide up" transition for the shift between the Maine photo and the skiing video. This is because it adds a nice variation to the middle of my film. After this clip, I decided to use the "fade" transition and extended

Hello! I have made a lot of progress on my commercial and I am nearly finished with my production. Now that I have my introduction and order of photos and videos, I am going to begin editing the clips so they fit the screen properly. Upon being added to the film, the photos shift over the three-second clip. While the shifting of the images does add animation to a non-moving scene, it appears slightly messy and I prefer for it to look neater. I am going to alter this so that they stay still throughout the duration of the scene. To do so, I clicked on each photo and disabled Ken Burns. Then I pinched and altered the photos so they were cropped at the right position. For the first photo, I centered myself as the image was off-center before. I did the same for the rest of the photos. Now that I have edited the length and position of the photos, I began to work on the videos. The first video is only two seconds long so I left it as is. This is because it does not need to be cut and it

Hello! This week I have begun the tedious process of constructing my commercial about myself. After much deliberation, I have decided to switch editing apps to iMovie. This is because I have much more experience using this platform rather than CapCut, which I have only used a number of times. Since I had not done too much for my commercial yet, the switch was fairly simple. I simply opened iMovie and reimported my photos and videos. This process was fairly smooth. This is because iMovie is connected to my cameral roll on my iPhone. This allowed the easy transition as I could just select which photos and videos I wanted to add.      After my photos and videos imported, I focused on editing the lengths of my clips and altering the visuals. After importing my media without adjusting the length, I noticed that my commercial was only 20 seconds long and needed to be tweaked. To extend the length, I decided to use a longer clip of my skiing, rather than the short clip I have chosen befo

Hello! I recently started to produce my commercial. I decided to use the app CapCut to edit my film after some consideration. I chose this app because I have used it before, therefore I am familiar with the process. I started by importing all of my photos and videos into the app. Next, I planned the order of my photos and videos. I decided to use the picture of me as a toddler as my opening photo. I then decided that the picture of me at my Bat Mitzvah would be good on the second clip. Now that I had my first and second clips, I needed to decide on the rest. I chose to use a video for my third clip. I chose the video of me skiing. Next, I decided to do another photo. I chose the picture of me climbing rocks in Maine. I think this photo fits well in the middle between the two videos. This is because of how bright it is, so it contrasts. Next, I decided to add the other video of me. This video is of my sister and I at a concert. I moved the video to the fifth clip.  The last photo is of

Hello! I recently started to select my photos, videos, and songs for my commercial. I started by picking out my photos. I did this by going through my camera roll on my iPhone. The first photo I chose is of me in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The photo was taken in March of 2023 during spring break. I chose this picture to represent one of my favorite places, Colorado. I also selected a photo from this past summer. It was taken in Maine. My family and I were climbing a plethora of rocks to feel the ocean water. Another picture I chose is of me on my Bat Mitzvah Day. My service has just been completed and I was posing for many pictures for memories. In the photo I chose, I am holding the Torah that I read from. For my last picture, I selected a photo from when I was younger. This picture is of me at Zoo Miami when I was in pre-school. The first video I chose is of my sister and me at The Eras Tour. Taylor Swift has always been my favorite artist, so singing and dancing at her concert is
