My Group for the Music Video

    Hello! I have recently formed my group for the music video. I chose to work in a group. My group mates are Mela Holton, Lindsay White, and Kemora Whitelocke. I chose to work with them because I am very compatible with all of them. I have worked with them all on different projects for various classes, so I am excited to work all together. While I could have worked on this music video by myself, I opted to work in collaboration with others so that the video could be as creative as possible. The video would likely be more creative if put together by a group rather than just me because everyone's ideas would be considered and combined.
    Furthermore, the song my group chose is All The Stars by Kenrick Lamar and SZA. While my group discussed which genre of music was best to use for the video, Kemora took notes on the most likely options. The best genre for a music video, in my opinion, would be hip-hop or rap. Generally, anything upbeat and fun. I thought of various songs that would be a good fit for a music video in this genre. After a long discussion on different songs by various artists, Kemora mentioned using All The Stars. At first, I did not recognize this song by its title, but after listening to it, I quickly recalled the lyrics and the meaning behind them. Everyone in the group agreed on this song. All The Stars was released for the movie Black Panther. I love this movie, as well as my group mates. This song has a deep meaning. It illustrates the journey through hardships and struggles to reach the other side. This gives my group a strong backboard to create the storyline off of. I am looking forward to creating this music video with my group!

      Hello! Last week, my group and I began filming the music video. Immediately after filming each scene, my groupmates reviewed all the clips to make sure all the elements of the film were included. After wrapping up filming for the day and checking the quality of each clip, my group and I began to edit. Since my group used multiple cameras for filming, my group had to import all the clips into the editing app. My group accomplished this by iMessaging the videos in a group chat with every member of the group, that way everyone could view the clips. Kemora volunteered to do the editing on her iPhone since she has the most experience with editing.     Next, every member of my group helped to edit the music video. Production Blog: Choosing an Editing Platform!

 Hello! My group recently concluded filming the final task video! It was a long and tedious process, but it was worth it. Now, it is time to edit. First, I thought about which editing platform to use. I looked into two main apps. One of the apps was iMovie. The other one was CapCut. I have used both of them before. The experiences I have had with both apps were relatively smooth. Therefore, I had to weigh the pros and cons of each app. First, I looked into iMovie. This app has been around for almost my whole life, so I am very familiar with the app's features. I have used iMovie for many projects before, including some projects for this class. However, my group did use CapCut for the last project, the music video. Even though I have used CapCut a few times, it has been for smaller and less complex projects. Pitch A: Three girls discover a treasure map washed up on the shore so the follow the map and are brought on an adventure. Pitch B: A group of friends go out to dinner and discover a killer secret about their friend. Discuss Pitch A: This movie idea would be exciting to film, but it may be hard to produce. Our original idea was to open the movie at the beach, which would be easy to do since we live close. However, since it is a treasure hunt, we would have to travel to multiple places on the map which may be hard for us to accomplish. Also, it may be difficult to create the treasure map and to make the scene of us finding the map look realistic. Furthermore, this is a very general and overused plot line, so it may seem repetitive.
